Ok, So we need at least 1 more player to play on my hubby's team! 2-3 would be great!!! So if your intrested in your child playing soccer go to the Alamo Rec. center to sign up.. It's $34.50 and you get a shirt!!! Tues and Thurs are practices.. I believe its 6- 6:30

So if you know ne one that would be intrested let them know =) We went to big 5 and we got schin guards and a soccer ball.. The schin guards were on sale for 7.99.. They have the whole package thing but I didn't think it was that good of a deal.. 

haha I need to go get the shin gaurds... put a post on hys for anyone interested in putting the 3 or 4 year old in soccer and we might get lucky.... 

do the kids need to know how to play at all? my daughter wants to play but im not even sure she knows what it is besides kicking a ball. she is 3. 

no they do not need to know anything as long as they are 3, they will need shin guards and their own ball

So what exactly do you have to buy as far as the uniform goes? Do they let you know when you register? 

yeah all you need is shin gaurds and ball.... when you pay the registration fee that is for the shirt. also you can get them the soccer short or just regular shorts, they are not really picky about what the pee wees wear, if you can find cleats they are great I do have some I might have to say bye too cause my sons foot did grow in 4 months like iI think they barely fit and he thinks they are great because he doesn't want to get rid of them

Soccer balls are on sale at walmart for $5.00. There the little kids size! They are in the clearance Isle. 

Yayyyyyyyyyyy!!!!!! We have more than enough players.. They called my husband and said that 11 kids on the team =) 

Sooo.. I finally got around to putting my son on the waiting list, and there is only one other kid on it :/ I'm thinking he may not get to play this time around. When's the next time it starts up? I think I'm still gonna try and post it up on HYS.. see if I can get more ppl to sign up. 

they play in spring and fall.... you just have to call and keep asking that is what I did for spring. I think I called like 30 times. LOL

I signed my son up to play 5-6 peewee soccer with the Rec center, i just have to go get his stuff for practice now. Im also going to sign him up for basketball that will start in december 

oh I was thinking about basketball I just don't know if he would even like it 

cool beans.. at least i know ahead of time this time, lol. i may do basketball, since soccer seems to be out. there are only 4 kids on the list now. 

so I guess I'll be a soccer mom with you girls afterall ;) I got a call @ 5 yesterday that they got a coach and were starting a team for the list my son was on! Woohoo... Did any of you attend the 3-4 yr old meeting last night? 

I went last night. Yeah, I heard that they had formed a new team and it was already full. I think there is going to be 11 teams so there may be a bye week. Gabe is going to be a Purple Panther.:P What about everyone else?
