I need a lot of advice lately...
SO the hubby and I decided that it was time to start "actively" trying to have a baby...Anyone know of any advice or suggestions or even some encouraging words for us? Because, I could definitely use it.
We haven't been trying to prevent it since September of '08, but now it's time to start actively trying... Wish us lots and lots of baby dust? LOL
well thats great to hear dont stress it since you havent been trying to prevent getting pregnant the first thing to do is find a dr to look at BOTH of you ck his ....count and ck your count too. you know make sure everything is right and correct look in the yellow pages. i looked in there a year ago because I had my tubes tied and I want to try to have another kid and id have to go for invetro fertilization we just never got any further because i didnt have medical back then and even now we cant do it cuz wed have to pay cash still. good luck to you 2
Leah, I am sooo excited. I love babies. My hubby & I are trying too! I hope to be pregnant sometime in the summer. Best advice-no stress. It really does affect conception. I had a really stressful job and couldn't get pregnant-I was ck'd & everything. I quit my job & 3 months later-Prego. Let's see some other advice, um after having sex you want to lay flat on your back or elevate your legs slightly for like 25-30 minutes. No hot baths or showers right after. No hot tubs or extremely hot showers for hubby as they kill the sperm. Contrary to public opinion, you want his sperm count up near your cycle of ovulation. You ovulate around approx. 7-14 days after the start of your period (each woman is different) You can purchase an ovulation test for like $20 at Walmart - during that time you want to do it 1-2 times a day prior to that time not quite as often (to up his count) My husbands advice (soo male) have sex-lots & lots of sex lolo
Thanks you guys have been awesome!!! Last night after I posted I went and talked to the hubby (I had to wake him up! LOL) and I was like "are you sure you want to have a baby, because I know I am, but I can only judge how you feel by what you tell me" and he was like "honey, trust me, I've already planned out where the crib will go...etc." I "almost" cried.. LOL
I agree with Elizabeth-best baby was born in May. I was warm in the winter & delivered before the heat. Worst was born at the end of August. Ilooked like Fiona-Shrek's wife in that I had no ankles due to daily swelling. I did and I use to cry about it lol
Now another question. We want the babies sex to be a suprise when he/she is born, so we want unisex stuff... Would it be too early to start looking or possibly buying things? Like, I saw on HYS a stroller/carseat from Graco for 50.00, and we were looking at one like that for 189.00???
Am I getting too excited or is that normal? Should we start preparing with stuff like that or should we wait?
Argh, I wish I had my mom :( LOL
Well I personally would wait, and save. You can still buy on HYS but you will have more money for diapers and what not. I would open a baby account and start putting like 20 buck a paycheck or more there so when the baby is born you are more ready.
i would wait a little for the bigger things, but start looking for some unisex clothes and blankets and things. walmart has some great clearence on baby clothes. i just got my girls alot of jeans for $2 a pair.
See, I want a boy, and I want a boy first. LOL then I want a girl. So looking at boys clothes always gets me teary eyed, but girls clothes are like nothing for me. I already have a name and EVERYTHING.
I told my hubby "but but, I want one noooooow" and he says "well you know there's at least a nine-month waiting period..." LOL
Oh you mean my brother LOL no well we talked about that they have to work or be in school, they will not be allowed to stay home after high school if they are not working or in school. I think it is fair
