There has been a peeping tom lurking around the mckinley loop area. a friend of mine just came by and told me that she saw a man looking through her windows last nite. when she opened the blinds he smiled and took off running. this was in her backyard!!! she called SFS and filed a report. according to them it isnt the first report. this guy is watching women that are home alone. so if you are single or if your husband works nites/wierd hours please lock up!!!!! She described him as a White male possibly in his mid 30's, thin, between 5'8"-5'11". Please spread the word!!!!

Christine --- 7 years ago -

Since he was on base that means he either lives or works there right? creepy!

Katrina --- 7 years ago -

If this isn't the first report, maybe SF should actually try to DO something about this. A little undercover work... if they don't I may feel inclined to do it myself. I felt safe on base.. not anymore!

Veronica --- 7 years ago -

Yes Christine He has been spotted a couple times walking around the block. And thats exactly what I said Katrina...They really need to let people know about this creeper!!

Christine --- 7 years ago -

Since you have to have a background check & clearance, I would think that they would see this as a real threat. Question-do spouses have to have a background check or clearance? Could it be a man married to airforce personnel?

Just sharing! --- 7 years ago -

Spouses do not have to have a background check. SFS should notify residents when there are been several reports of the same activity. Just makes sense to me.

Leah --- 7 years ago -

Eh, just because he said this isn't the first report, doesn't mean there's been several. More than one is two, so maybe there's only two reports. If it gets out of hand and he starts to try to break into houses or something I can see them saying something, but for right now he's just watching you sleep or whatever. Now, I can see them having soaring heights send out a notice that says "SAFETY REMINDERS: Voyeurism, theft, and vandalism are all some things that are quite common offbase, but have the possibility to happen on base. Humans aren't perfect, and as far as we know, we are ALL human. So make sure you are taking the following actions to provide safety for you and your family. -Remember to lock all doors on your home and vehicle. -Don't leave any valuable electronics in plain view, either by window or in the open. -Bring in all childrens toys after they are done playing with them. -Make sure all blinds are closed at night, especially if you are home alone. -If you feel you are in danger for any reason, call SFS right away."

I think maybe he might have been through our backyard also. My husband works nights and his first shift back at work last week I heard someone going through are backyard. By our fence door we have bricks lining both sides (So our dog won't break the fence door and run away) I called my husband and walked outside with a big kitchen knife to see if anybody was there. I didn't see anybody in our yard though and figured I must just be hearing things. About an hour later I was on the phone with my husband again because every dog in the nieghborhood was barking and going insaine.. This all happend around 11:00... But like my husband said is he wanting to get caught? Maybe hes trying 2 be seen. With our backyard (if it was him) They were loud and doing it that many times he should know how not to be seen. Its very very creepy he just smiled back. Spouses get background checks and i belive our close family also gets looked at. We called the cops and asked if it was true and told them what had happend last week they said they couldn't comfirm anything but it was possible. Also just be carefull because if hes only watching certain types of ppl. He must be watching you at some point during they day! He would have to be able to know your husbands schedule and what days and times he leave for work.

Ashley --- 7 years ago -

Do you live close to where the other one happened Morgan?

Carel --- 7 years ago -

Any passenger or other persons in the vehicle DOES NOT have to have any identification on them to even get on base.No back ground checks nothing. As long as the driver has a valid ID to get on base.Matter of fact when I was driving a dump truck for a contractor who was tearing down the old housing on base we all had to get background check(i even did as a military spouce) It was a contractor out of Texas and they could use their passes to get on base anytime.Matter of fact they use to take their friends and others on base with them. They would just hang out wondering around the base.(who knows where they went).I thought they did checks on everybody but they don't.My boss asked my son(he worked with me)if he could stop on his way to work and pick up another worker. He did this for 4-5 months. When the guy went to the shopette(i believe got caught stealing)that's when they found out he was a convicted child molster.and drugs. He still got rides from other people to get to work for about a week later then work got out and neadless to say the workers are the one who actually stopped him from comming back to work.Who knows what he did or where he went when he left for lunch..Some of the workers did drugs at work and would be driving.(in front of the child care center) If you ever notice on sat morning how alot of civilians will use their work ID's to get there family and friends on base to go to yard sales.I have even seen vehicles on base where the lic place says from "mexico".(I am not saying that to point anyone out)So please don't take it wrong. The point I am trying to make(finally) is that it doesn't have to be a military person nor anyone authorized on the base but could be a friend of a friend!!!

Leah --- 7 years ago -

Oops, I forgot to say: They probably don't want to send a report out saying "warning, peeping tom seen" because that could cause some ladies to panic. If they could ease them into it, by saying something like 'if you see anyone in your yard after dark, please call SFS immediately. DON'T take action. '

Ashley --- 7 years ago -

I used to get so annoyed going yard selling on base, I gave up it seemed people came with trucks who werent military to buy everything in site.

morgan --- 7 years ago -

I also tend to keep every light in our house on. Since I an infant that doesn't sleep through the night. I leave 3 rooms with lights on so I don't trip in the dark. Maybe leaving a lot of lights on attracts him.

morgan --- 7 years ago -

No I don't I live on the oppisite side of base.

Ashley --- 7 years ago -

lol.. I so do with and tvs when my hubby is working nights. I know what it feels like to have someone come in your yard though. I had someone who thought we werent home since ups left a box outside of our gate. This guy and 3 other men came in our yard 3 guys stayed around back and one came to the door and opened my screen door and front door claiming to be with the cable company. But I threw him off being home so he couldnt tell me what cable company h was with not to mention we dont have cable, I was able to get him out of the house. But it still scared me knowing anything could have happened because there was more men around the back of the house waiting to go inside. I still get super nervous and paranoid that he will come back.

Claudia --- 7 years ago -

When was that last night? I am walking my dog every evening and will keep my eyes open and have my cell with me.

Claudia --- 7 years ago -

Any passenger or other persons in the vehicle DOES NOT have to have any identification on them to even get on base. Unless it's past 10pm..

morgan --- 7 years ago -

Carel has a really good point! Anybody can get on base. Also the la luza gate during the weekend would be so easy for someone to get into without being noticed. It could also be a construction worker who spots ppl on his lunch break then comes back after work. We live right by a construction area and so do you guys were it happend behind the medical clinic.

Leah --- 7 years ago -

Do you ladies have anything for self protection around the house? (besides kitchen utensils, face it, if you stab a guy in the arm he might just get angry)????? Stun Guns (the kind you touch them with, not the ones you shoot them with) Baseball bats? Batons? Mace? Pepper Spray? Actual knives for self protection? Firearms? Anything??? Dude... I have like, all of them (my stun guns still in ky though :( ) and I know that a .22 isn't going to do any damage, but it looks like a different gun. Then of course our 12 guage. I sleep well at night, even when the hubby isn't home.

Ashley --- 7 years ago -

Yea that's another reason we moved off base it freaked me out that there were so many non military / spouses using all of the base amenities.

Leah --- 7 years ago -

I didn't mean that to sound grumpy, iI really didn't, I'm still half asleep. Anyways, if you guys are interested in getting anything for self protection, let me know. I can show you what to look for, whether it's legal on base, what you'd have to do to get one, etc. etc.

Carel --- 7 years ago -

Ashley that is so so true. The part that upset me is not only are they not military but alot of them buy everything they can and most of them had thrify shops in town and they resell it for a much highter price....I think military shouldn't have to compete especially on base..Just my opinion...

morgan --- 7 years ago -

That whole 10pm thing isn't always true! I have been through this base many times past 10. I don't say its a myth because of that but other reasons. If you want you can pm me and I will tell you guys that I know why but I don't want to put it out on here.

Claudia --- 7 years ago -

Well it can't be a myth because they always want to see all of our ID's when we come on base past 10pm ;)

morgan --- 7 years ago -

I Have plenty of protection. I sleep with my husbands buck knife lol It looks Identical to the one in scream. I wish though are dog was more scary. If someone ever tried to break in I honeslty think she would try to get him to pet her.

Leah --- 7 years ago -

Eh, as far as the 10PM thingie goes, I've had to get a visitors to get on because I left my ID card at home and my hubby was driving. I thought that was kinda silly...

morgan --- 7 years ago -

I guess myth is a bad word but I have got on base more times then i can count after ten without showing my id unless I'm driving. I also haven't always been a spouse either getting on bases that late. There are ways around it and we used to get away with it at our old base when we were dating.

Ashley --- 7 years ago -

Im totally with you there Carel, I would just watch people fill up trucks and trucks and on top of that they would target young couples who didnt look like they ever had a yard sale before and offer to buy them out for so cheap. It was disgusting :(

Ashley --- 7 years ago -

Such a bad girl Morgan.. lol :-)

Veronica --- 7 years ago -

I was told another lady who had previously reported the man said that he triedto break into her home. He supposedly bangs on the windows and doors. Waiting for you to open..I just hate the whole thing. A couple of weeks ago someone was in our back yard too and it just freaks me out to think it could have been him. OO and morgan my friend said that when she saw him in her window he just smiled at her too.
