If anyone is looking for a quality preschool in Alamogordo, my friend found one that just opened in January. Their web-site is www.kinderhouse.educatorpages.com Their teachers all have teaching licenses and they have very small class sizes. Additionally, I believe she said that the owner is a military spouse which is a plus for the military community as they should have an understanding of the needs of our military children.

What if your child is a civilian? My husband is ex military..should it make a difference? Children need an education either way. I know you know her as friends, so it would make sense that you know difinitavly if she is a Military spouse or not..I saw the other post, it got quite nasty over their..leave the "advertising" to Hollamon Yard Sales..

St. Johns Day School has tons of Military families that have had their kids there for years as well as alot of German military families too!

Chandra, for the record. I do not know the owner. A friend recommended the school to me. I do not know 'definitively' that she is anything. I got this information from the schools web-site. I know for a fact, that as a military spouse, I am more comfortable with my child being in an environment that understands my child's individual needs. My husband is military as well. You are right. All children need an education, but the needs of military children are infact special as they deal with lengthy separations from parents due to TDY's and deployments. Those in the civilian community do not always understand the emotions and concerns that arise due to these situations. I can't believe you and some others are taking this so far. All Kinder House did was explain a situation that was presented in a defaming manner. You are right. Everyone is entitled to their opinion, but if the intent was not to slander the school why post "I would think twice before sending my child...." No one is forcing anyone to enroll at Kinder House. There was no need to post anything negative unless the intent is to stir something up as it obviously appears to be since Kinder House is the only one who has 'dropped' the topic. Christine, En and yourself continue to drag this out (even bringing the original post to this topic post...) Talk about needing to get a life. BTW, again. You suggest I leave the advertising to Holloman Yard Sales... You don't seem to have a problem with Christine advertising St. John's... Now - I am going to do what En suggested several posts ago, but has failed to do. I AM going to drop the topic. Anyone who truly cares about their child's education isn't going to listen to a bunch of people who spend their entire day on a blog talking about everyone and everything all day long. Obviously there is nothing you guys don't know. LOL

You have some serious issues with anyone whose opinion differs from yours. I just find it ridiculous that you would be so definsive unless you do have a personal stake in this.

And if you noticed Christine posted AFTER me..Your the rude little girl who needs to as you put it "Get a Life"

There was no need to post anything negative unless the intent is to stir something up as it obviously appears to be since Kinder House is the only one who has 'dropped' the topic. Christine, En and yourself continue to drag this out (even bringing the original post to this topic post...) Kinder House has YOU to go on about it. If you'd let it be, I would never have replied again. You just had to rehash the whole thing again. It is curious that you did register on this site to talk ONLY about Kinder House. That in itself tells us plenty. The rest of us were here even before the school opened. I AM going to drop the topic. Anyone who truly cares about their child's education isn't going to listen to a bunch of people who spend their entire day on a blog talking about everyone and everything all day long. Yes, drop it. We all see what is happening no matter what you say. It's just too obvious. Let me reiterate since hints don't work. Don't put other establishments down to advertise. It's irritating.

It's just funny to me I havent posted on underground in a couple of months, yet I sit here and post all day everyday. i rarely chime in on anything, I just thought it was ridiculous how this was handled. When you post about ANY buisness expect someone to give you their facts as well..

I realize I posted things out of anger insted of thought. I do believe in what I said, BUT it could have been said in a nicer way. Apologies to those whom I may have offended.

Lyndsey, you do have the option to close a topic as its originator rather than leave it open to further comment.

BamaFan --- 15 years ago -

To the right of the post, under "see more discussions about..." you will see "lock topic", "unlock topic", and "edit topic". All you have to do is hit "lock topic" and that ends it.
