so i went to sign up for this site and it said that someone would have to look over my profile, or something along those lines. how long does that take? i signed up last night and i still have not gotten an email saying that i am "allowed" to sign in 

You should be allowed to now, please once you do have permission to the site make an introduction post so we can all get to know you better. I check it throughout the day, sorry if it took so long. 

I ran into the same thing Kaity......I don't really understand what there is to "look over" as all I entered was my username and password and didn't put any personal info about myself yet.......so what exactly are they reviewing???? Seems kinda weird to me! 

The reason they have that, is so people don't join who have nothing to do with the military and get information. The site has been around for about 6 yrs. It was made by an AF wife and two friends helped her build it. Since then the founder has joined the air force and another wife has taken over. This is a public forum where anyone can read what is here. You do not have to be a member to this site (Holloman Underground) to read.
