I am looking for a man named Christopher Coble. He purchased a truck from us late January this year and still owes us money. I still hold the title to this truck and the contract we both signed. He had disconnected his cell phone and I can't get a hold of him at all. If anyone can give me info about this person, please email me. Thanks for looking.

Do you know if that's Christopher C. or Christopher R.? In the meantime, I would think by still holding the title you would have some strong legal recourse, like maybe even being able to repo the vehicle. Did you have anything written out? Even though this state has binding verbal contract laws it is always a good thing to have things in writing and with signatures, and notarized if at all possible. I would try to get the truck back as soon as possible because I've seen it happen many times that if someone thinks they're going to lose something anyway they have no problem trasing it, whether it's a vehicle being repo'd or a house being foreclosed.

Misspelling, "trashing"

Barbara --- 7 years ago -

It is possible for him to go to DMV and file for a missing or lost title.

Linda --- 7 years ago -

I have a written contract saying that i will only release the title once the vehicle is paid off. Magistrate court and alamo police says i can tow the car if i can find it.

Linda --- 7 years ago -

I do not know if its Christopher C or R.

BamaFan --- 7 years ago -

Check your private messages.

Christy --- 7 years ago -

I used to work in a title office........if the title was never put in his name, he can't file for a lost or missing title, only the person who is on the title can file for a missing or lost title.

Barbara --- 7 years ago -

Not true. A friend I know had a person abandon a vehicle on his property. After a period of time when the friend never came back to pick it up, he went to DMV and applied for a lost or stolen title and he was given a duplicate title.

I do think they had to do some sort of title search to make sure a bank loan wasn't standing on the vehicle. But he was given a title for a vehicle he did not buy.

Linda --- 7 years ago -

We will go to DMV to c Wat they can do or find. I haven't found his address.

jennifer --- 7 years ago -

Ok my advice is that he might be deployed at this time, most people disconnect or suspend their phone service while on deployment. So what I can say is to call the LE (SFS) desk on Holloman and see if they can get the message to him.

Linda --- 7 years ago -

He's not military

Christy --- 7 years ago -

How would someone who is not on a title be able to get a duplicate title? That doesn't make any sense. Why would the DMV give some random person the title? If the title was never switched over, then that would be an issue. But they can only give a duplicate title to the person whose name was last on the title.........so if Linda's name is still on the title, Christopher would not be able to get a duplicate title.......it would have to be Linda!

jennifer --- 7 years ago -

Ok my apologies then, it very well could be Christopher R and not C.

Barbara --- 7 years ago -

All I can tell you is my friend got a title for a vehicle he did not purchase. This Christopher can get a bill of sale, sign it as the purchaser, have someone sign it as the seller and present it to the DMV.

Fraud happens all the time.

Linda --- 7 years ago -

I guess he could do that but how can he explain to the DMV about our written statement saying that we won't release the title unless its paid in full. If he does what you think, and have someone else sign it, its fraud for him and the other "seller"

BamaFan --- 7 years ago -

Which would be another way she could get him if he did that, and I think that would be a criminal act which means the DA would prosecute and she wouldn't have the expense of suing. But hopefully she won't have to do that and can just get the truck back.

Barbara --- 7 years ago -

He could go to ANY DMV office and do this. I'd be willing to bet that he won't use Alamogordo's DMV.

Barbara --- 7 years ago -

The "DA" didn't even get the sex-offender that was trolling elementary schools last year. You really think that she'd would prosecuate this??!

BamaFan --- 7 years ago -

If there are people pushing something, then yes. The DA's office is basically a political office and if someone's willing to put things in the paper, on facebook, on youtube how jobs are not getting done in their office then the DA wouldn't want negative publicity and would be forced to do something.

How many people went to her office last year and demanded that she do something about the sex-offender? Probably not one single person. I have never heard any more about that anyway since everyone got on here to warn other parents to watch out for that guy around the schools and report him if they saw him hanging around.

Barbara --- 7 years ago -

He only got probation. The state dropped kidnapping and harassment charges Cute, huh??

Sex offender gets probation

Barbara --- 7 years ago -

Yeah, they're real tough on crime here....NOT!

Barbara --- 7 years ago -

There was a Christopher Coble that was arrested in July for failure to pay something. Found that on a google search of Christopher Coble Alamogordo.

Maybe he's still in jail??

Barbara --- 7 years ago -

Searching NM Courts...Chris Coble (born in 1977) has an EXTENSIVE criminal history.

BamaFan --- 7 years ago -

Yes, and that's the Christopher (Cory) Coble. And he served jail time at the end of July in lieu of paying fines from something back in March related to a vehicle not registered and no insurance on that vehicle and no license on demand. And they couldn't get him in June because he was no longer at the phone number he had given so they had to go through a friend of his to get a message to him. Sounds very much like it might be one and the same guy.

Christy --- 7 years ago -

Wow, irregardless.....I'm so sorry you are having to deal with this! Why can't people just be honest? I wish we could go back to an eye for an eye with punishing people. Might be a little harsh, but people are freaking crazy!!!

Linda --- 7 years ago -

BamaFan. That definitely sounds like the same guy im looking for. BC in June, he disconnected or shut his phone off. Thanks so much for ur help. Went to a couple of addresses and truck was not there. I'm just ready to give up. oh wells

Oh. BTW, someone tried breaking into my house last night. I live in a "safe" neighborhood and can't believe the coincidence that this had happened after the postings. The police came by to check but all is ok. Thank god.

BamaFan --- 7 years ago -

For your protection I would definitely let the legal process handle it. This particular guy has probably gotten to such a point in his life that he doesn't hold himself responsible for anything he does and probably blames everybody but himself for all the bad things in his life. I have known people like that and most of the time they have continued run-ins with the law (the local police are probably very familiar with him) and eventually wind up in jail for longer periods of time or even prison for years. They make their own beds, so to speak, but unfortunately many times they hurt the innocent on their way to their own destruction.
