Our son is about to turn 1 and our daughter will be turning 3 a few days later. We're trying to find a bakery that makes unique children's birthday cakes. We know Wal-Mart and Lowes makes them but they're pretty standard. We want a multi-layered cake that's big and colorful! If anyone has any suggestions or recommendations, please help!! Thanks so much!!
There is a lady who advertises on HYS under the name "Cakes & Gifts". She also has a website with cake pictures. Her prices are higher than "storebought" cakes but I believe she homemakes everything from the cake to the icing, which the stores do not. This was also on one of her most recent ads: "Discounts on all cakes, cookies and cupcakes ordered now through Jan. 2011".
I would also recommend Lindas Cakes. We always order from there, they are amazing cakes. And they can do other flavors like lemmon or strawberry. Im sure they have others those are just the ones i have tried.
Thanks for the suggestions ladies!! I decided to go with Linda's! She made 2 baby shower cakes for us when we were expecting our daughter and they were delicious, beautiful, and reasonably priced!! I can't wait to see the cake I ordered for them! It's a tiered cake and I came up with the look of it in my head! I'll have to post a picture up of it whenever we get it! =) Thanks again!!
